Married To God’s Daughter

Published by Leoni on

When he realized he was married to God’s daughter. God told him that his wife wasn’t just his wife, but she was also His daughter

A man realized one day as it came almost as a warning, and frankly, he needed one at the time.
During an intense time of prayer, He sensed God telling him very directly that his wife wasn’t just his wife, but she was also His daughter, and that he was to treat her accordingly

When he realized he was married to God’s daughter and that his wife, are married to God’s son everything about how he viewed marriage changed.
He realized one of his primary forms of worship throughout the rest of his life would be honoring God by taking care of God’s little girl.

When you marry a believer He is the Father-in-Law!

See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know Him.

1 John 3:1

For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

Galatians 3:26-29

My view of marriage hasn’t changed a bit, but my wife did a wonderful job of transforming me. I love the new me, didn’t think I ever would know what it was like to love myself, but I love myself more today for becoming the man I have as my wife’s what ever the hell she thinks I am. I just happen to know me a little better than she ever did.

When a man and a woman marry (whether or not they are believers), they are joined together by God (e.g. Mark 10:8,9). Neither one of the couple nor any other person is to break what God has joined. A core aspect of marriage is the commitment to have sexual relations with only one partner for the rest of one’s life.
I think your wife loves you and you need to be careful because Self-love can be dangerous!
Is it absolutely wrong to feel self-love (or to love yourself)? Not necessarily. It may be possible to say something such as, “I love myself because God created me, and he loves me.” Or, you might say, “God loves me, so I am lovable.” However, this can be a dangerous road to travel since it’s easy to focus more and more on ourselves — our accomplishments, our popularity, our power, our wealth. That’s why the Bible actually warns against self-love.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy … (2 Timothy 3:1-2)

When Paul wrote these words, he was writing about selfish, self-centered love—a type of love that is very different from the self-giving love God wants us to have.
